By Flight
Reaching Andaman and Nicobar Islands is possible in two ways one is by air and another possible way is by ship. Direct flights are available in some of the cities like Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Ships are available from Chennai, Kolkata, and Vizag.
Flights will take two hours to reach Andaman. Operational flights are Indigo, Go Air, Spice jet, Vistara, Air India. All the flights are landed at Port Blair Veer Savarkar Airport. Planning to Andaman trip and looking for cheapest flight ticket then book tickets three or four months before of travelling.
By Ship
Reaching Andaman through ship then it will take three days so have to plan for a long trip. The ship is operated by Andaman Administration. The ship will available twice a month. Ticket will issue from administartion office 15 days before sailing. Ship travel will not suitable for everyone beacause sea sickness. Our suggestion whold be come by flight to andaman and go by ship. Andaman ship are not look like a cruise it will be normal ship. It has differnt class in this ship like Bunk Class and Cabin.Bunk class it as 150 birth and cabin it will be having 6 birth.Operation ships are M.V Swaraj Deepa and M.V Nancowry.
No, a Passport is not mandatory to visit Andaman, as it’s located in India only. To travel to Andaman, people must have to carry a valid ID proof such as a driving license, Aadhar card, Voter ID card, pan card, etc… Do not require any permit to travel to Andaman.

Havelock Island can be reached from port Blair via short cruises plying between port Blair and Havelock. One-way cruise takes about 90 minutes. The cruise ferries are of three categories with different classes: Premium, Deluxe and Royal. Facilities such as sea view and sitting arrangement vary in the three categories. The three companies operating ferries are the Makruzz, Greean Ocean, ITT Majestic, Sea Link.
Ferries ply from Port Blair to Neil Island and tales around 2.5 hours to cover the distance of 40 kms. Also, ferries ply from Havelock to Neil Island and take approx. 3 hours for a distance of 60 kms. There are government ferries plying regularly and connecting all the islands of tourist interests and there are private AC ferries.

  1. The tourists arriving at Port Blair will be tested for COVID-19 at Veer Savarkar airport using Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). The results will be given at the airport itself. The tourists will be charged as per the rate fixed by Administration. (Presently Rs. 500/- per person). If the tourist tests negative, he/she can proceed with the trip. If found positive, he/she will have to undergo Institutional isolation till recovery from COVID-19. 
  2. Alternatively, the tourists can opt to carry COVID-19 negative report from mainland based ICMR approved lab using Reverse TranscriptasePolymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) or True Nat test. However, the sample for RTPCR/True Nat test should have been taken within 48hours of starting the journey from the origin station. (E.g. if the tourist takes a flight from Delhi at 0600 hrs on 1st November 2020, the sample for RTPCR/True Nat test should have been taken not before 0600 hrs. on 30th October 2020). 
The result of this RTPCR/True Nat test will be confirmed online using the SRF-ID, following which the tourist will be exempted from RAT testing at the airport, and can proceed with the trip. 
  1. If the sample for RTPCR/True Nat test has been taken more than 48 hours from starting of the journey, re-test will be done at Veer Savarkar Airport using the RAT test, even if the RTPCR/True Nat test result is negative. The tourists will be charged as per the rate fixed by Administration. (Presently Rs. 500/- per person). 
  1. No institutional or home quarantine is required to be observed if the tourist has tested negative either through RAT test at Airport or RTPCR/True Nat test at ICMR approved lab. 
For travel to Shaheed Dweep and Swaraj Dweep  
  1. Those tourists who are carrying RTPCR/True Nat based Covid negative report as described in para 2 or have been tested negative at Airport using RAT test as described in para 1, need not take the test again, for subsequent travel to or return from Shaheed Dweep and/or Swaraj Dweep. 
  1. However in case any symptoms are developed, the tourist should immediately report to the nearest PHC/CHC and thereafter necessary testing will be done, as advised by Doctors. 
  1. It is reiterated that travel to the North and Middle Andaman Islands, Nicobar group of islands and Little Andaman Island is not permitted for tourism purposes, till further orders. 
In case tourist tests Positive for COVID-19 on arrival or during the stay  
  1. If the tourist on arrival at the airport tests positive, he/she will need to undergo institutional isolation as per existing health protocols. The cost of such isolation for govt. the facility will be paid by the tourist as fixed by the administration from time to time. (Presently Rs. 1000/- for isolation at ITI Dollygunj COVID Ward). 
  1. If the patient wants to stay at hotels he/she can stay in the hotels if all the conditions below are met: 
  1.    a) Patients are not symptomatic and not more than 60 years old. 
  2.    b) Request/undertaking is made by the patient in writing. 
  3.    c) If allowed by doctors. 
  1. Hotels will make the necessary arrangement to designate a part of their rooms for institutional isolation for this purpose.
